Evenfall. That time in the day when the sun goes down and the birds are all reading their babies bedtime stories. The temperature drops just a little – enough for you to need just one extra wee layer. What do you reach for? Your Evenfall sweater of course! She’s the perfect weight for that lovely twilight time, or for those between season days when it’s still a bit warm for a proper jersey, but there’s that little chill in the air.
The 3 ply yarn is worked at a reasonably loose gauge to give a nice slouch to the fabric. You’ll enjoy making the pleats in the front and back, these pleats are what give the jersey her shape.
You will be working top down, using the contiguous sleeve method developed by Susie Myers, SusieM on Ravelry: http://ravelry.com/people/SusieM. This style gives a set-in sleeve effect without having to sew up the seams. There are faux seams down the sides of the jersey and also down the inside sleeve, then a nice flat rib at the hem for a straight silhouette.
Evenfall is designed to be a slightly cropped jersey with lots of positive ease for a comfy slouchy fit.
