Nevis is a Super Soft DK Corriedale wool yarn. Corriedale sheep were developed here in NZ for their good long staple and well-defined crimp. This yarn is soft and bouncy, and wow, does it take the colour beautifully!! I've got some gorgeous colours on this non-superwash DK version of my 4ply Tarras, suitable for all sorts of projects*
• hand-dyed, 8 ply / DK weight
• approx 197 m per 100 g
• gentle hand wash in cool water, lay flat to dry
*Not recommended for socks due to the lack of sturdy fibres and the risk of holes forming.

The pyroclastic material that is spewed from an erupting volcano is referred to as tephra – the Greek word for ash. This yarn is a gorgeous neutral mid-grey. It's slightly on the cooler side of the spectrum, but not by much. An excellent shade for pairing with many other colours.
